Dal lake : Dal lake, one of the most beautiful lakes in India, is the second largest lake of the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Encircled by mountains on three sides, the banks of this lake are adorned by several blooming gardens and orchards.

Sonamarg : Sonamarg, at an altitude of 3,000 metres above sea level, 87 km north-east of Srinagar.Sonamarg, which means ' meadow of gold' has, as its backdrop, snowy mountains against a cerulean sky. the Sindth meanders along here and abounds with trout and mahseer, snow trout can be caught in the main river. Ponies can be hired for the trip up to Thajiwas glacier a major attraction during the summer months. The climate of Sonamarg is very bracing.

Houseboats : Houseboats are a special tourist attraction for everyone who visits Kashmir. These houseboats have their own traditional appeal, are usually anchored on the banks of the Dal Lake. Each houseboat is fully furnished and every houseboat has an attendant boy. These houseboats have small boats called shikaras that take tourists to the flower markets. Kashmir Houseboats are furnished in a grand style, with carved furniture and woolen carpets with intricate work on them.
